TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dear MIL and FIL asked if they could have the boys overnight tonight for a sleepover, and of course I said yes! :) So I called my sister last night to see if she wanted to watch my little princess so hubby and I could have a date and she said yes! :) :) :)

We haven't had a date night in a while, so it will be nice. We're going to Outback Steakhouse and then to see The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. We've heard it was really good, so I'm excited!

How about you? Any special plans for the weekend?

Thursday - Trash Day

Thursday, January 19, 2006

I grabbed this idea from PM (go over and check out her blog!) and it looks fun, so here goes...

Thirty-seven days until we go to Disney World - I can't wait!!

Right now I'm reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I've assigned it as a book report and now I've got to read it, too! ;)

American Idol is one of my favorite shows - it cracks me up!!

Sooo tired today. I've been staying up really late!

Hopefully things will get back to normal soon. I never would have imagined that Katrina would STILL be affecting us in Louisiana!

Didn't realize this would be hard! ;)

Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE chocolate!!

You have got to watch LOST on ABC if you haven't watched it before. It is AWESOME!!

I'm Going to Disney World!

I am so excited! It's been almost 4 years since the last time we've been to Disney World. My little princess hasn't been yet, and since she will turn 3 this summer and 2 year old's are free, we're choosing to go next month! :) We will be staying at the All-Star Movie Resort - we've never stayed there before. Anybody stay there and have an opinion about it? It looks fun! Disney had a special package if we stayed for 7 nights, so we decided to go for it! We bought 6 day park hopper passes, too. Anybody else going next month?

Look, I'm Like Mommy

Saturday, January 07, 2006

I came across this picture today, and forgot that I had wanted to post about it. :)

I was getting ready to go to dinner and was straightening my hair. My daughter got a little makeup set for Christmas, and in it was a play straightener. She saw me doing my hair and ran out to get hers. She came in and said "Look, I'm like Mommy!" I yelled for my husband to grab the camera. She is such a cutie...

It amazes me how our kids watch us, imitate us and want to be just like us. It's a joy to watch - like in this picture, but also comes with great responsibility. Are my actions and words such that I would WANT my daughter to emulate them?

This is what Christ meant when he told us we are to come to him like little children - ready to imitate his every word and action, longing to be just like him, having great faith and trust in him.

It's amazing what you can learn by watching a child.
