The china has been washed...

The presents have been opened...

Now it's time to play!!!

Christmas was wonderful this year. Not because of presents but because of the great family time we all had together. My parents, my sister and her hubby, & my in-laws were all together on Christmas, and we had a great time!! But, boy what a mess!! I realized that my children are SO SO SO spoiled. To be the only grandkids on both sides, and my sister's only neice & nephews -- boy did they stack up!! There are STILL boxes in their rooms of toys that have not been opened or put together!!

The favorite gifts this year...

For my little angel, her favorites are dress up Disney princess shoes, a princess play house, and her doll that came with a real wooden bunk bed and high chair. Here is a picture of her "all dressed up". Doesn't she look like a star? ;)

BTW, she DID have pants on but took them off after I changed her diaper! :)

My boys got an X-Box and of course that is very exciting. They are playing it right now as I type this. They both also got Thomas stuff and several lego and hot wheels sets. Here is a picture of them while putting together the massive Thomas set.

I bought my husband an MP3 player and he really seems to like it. I have actually been playing with it too - he is starting to suspect that I really bought it for myself! :)

My husband bought me a beautiful necklace - you can't go wrong buying a woman jewelry! I also got an American Idol DVD set, with the best and worst performances. The worst DVD has a lot of bad auditions that are hilarious - I love that show!

I can't believe that we are going to my grandmother's house in a few days and will exchange MORE gifts!! We just built this house 2 1/2 years ago and now I think we need a bigger one! :) :) :)

How was your Christmas? Hopefully it was full of family and fun!

I can't believe it is Christmas Eve already!! My kids have been watching Christmas shows on TV and I have been wrapping presents for HOURS! I know, I know, I'm kinda late this year. ;)

If you go to emailsanta.com your kids can watch a Rudolph camera, and see where Santa is right now. It also tells you how many hours until Santa comes to your house. It's really cute!

Tonight we are going to my husband's parents' church for a Christmas Program, and then tomorrow everyone is coming to my house after church for lunch and to exchange gifts.

Well, I better get back to wrapping those gifts...only like 10 more to go!!

I wish you and your family a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Countdown to Christmas

Friday, December 09, 2005

Don't you just love the Christmas season? I absolutely LOVE this time of year! In Louisiana we get excited when the temperature gets below 60! :) It was 40 degrees this morning when I left for school and it felt so good!!! The cold weather makes me excited, and ready to go shopping. We have already started counting down the days...

On Christmas morning my kids get up early to see what fun presents Santa has brought them. Then around 10 or 11, my parents and my sister & her husband usually come to my house and we open gifts and have a large meal. We also read the Christmas story aloud from the Bible to remind everyone what the true meaning of Christmas is. All day the kids play with their obscene stack of toys (between Santa and grandma I don't see how Toys-r-Us has any toys left!!) while the adults play board games and visit. Last year it actually snowed ALL DAY here on Christmas day. Now those of you from the North would probably argue that what we experienced here last year was slush or sleet or some other wet white substance, but to us southerners any white stuff that falls from the sky is SNOW!! :) :) :) We had such a great time! Here's wishing for another white Christmas!

What are YOUR Christmas traditions? Any special plans this year?
