What should you do about siblings that cannot seem to get along?

With three, that are only two years apart, I would go crazy if I tried to intervene on every fight or disagreement that they had. So normally I let them work it out. There are times where it somes to hitting or pinching, but usually they work it out on their own just fine. I only step in when it gets really out of hand.

I'm new to all of this sibling rivalry stuff because I'm an only child. Jonah and Destiny (my DH 14 year old daughter) are 8 years apart...so they've really never had spats with each other.

My boys are 4 years apart and go from one extreme to the other. I agree with Mary...I intervene as little as possible...unless there is bullying or hitting each other. We don't allow our kids to be hateful to one another...no matter how mad they get. Also, separation is probably a good tactic and gives them time to cool off.

My brother is 31 & I am 34. He lives in Illinois & I live in Maryland. My mother is still trying to figure out how to get us to stop the bickering!!! Seriously! We truly do love each other but we still bicker like we did as kids!!!

I just wrote you a long answer to your question and when I went to post it I got a Blogger error message. Now I have to go and I do not have time to re-type it. Sorry, oh by the way thanks for stopping by my blog the other day.

    God bless, Joe
