Okay mommies...here is the new dilemma of the week:

Week #2

Not sure...but I sure wish I had the answer! My toddler goes to bed fine but comes into our room (sometime) in the middle of the night & sleeps on the floor next to our bed every night. He has done this for about 6 months now & has always been such a great sleeper!!! He used to wake me up & ask & of course I was too tired to argue. Now, he just sneaks in & falls asleep & we never hear him!

I guess the best answer I can come up with is the answer to all parenting dilemma's...be consistant. No matter how many times he/she gets out of bed, make him/her go back to their own bed. It would be a lot easier to just let them sleep with you, but it would send the wrong message...that if they're persistant enough, they'll get their way in the matter. I don't agree with all of Dr. Phil's parenting strategies, but there is one that I do think is worth mentioning. He says to avoid conflict when possible, but when conflict between parent and child does take place, make sure the parent wins. Good advice, huh?
